the mind melt keeps melting. pretty soon we will just be puddles of freaky essential oils, reduced down to our effervescent essence, like jasmine, or dry kool-aid. of course we are talking about onur Ízers album kasmir, the gift that keeps on giving. once again renowned artists have come out in full force reworking selected tracks off onurs album for vakants remix-only vr. first up is mr. rajko m³ller, better known as isolÚe, who having spent some time growing up in algeria, continues with the african remixer theme (tunisian born loco dice remixed eclipse on part 1. you know us, as if we even need an excuse to work in africa somehow.) isolÚe takes onurs otherwise chilling innervoice and reinterprets it into a thick warm blanket of reassuring bounce. flipping the record inverts dimensions of time and space. abyssfully deep legend baby ford takes the already ethereal aida and turns it into the soundtrack for finding the god particle. its scary, yes, but ultimately it could explain everything.

luckyme is very proud to present the first release from the collaborative project between nadsroic and hudson mohawke. this ep contains 6 tracks of explosive future r&b, folk influences and dancefloor heat. with a mixture of club-friendly bangers such as room mist and step back and more reflective personal songs like leopards and chemical alongside all hot- an almost unclassifiable blend of live percussion and ethereal diva vocals. nadsroic is the singing / rapping alias of ciorsdan brown alongside the young phenom producer hudson mohawke. to date the young team have only played a handful of shows as nadsroic including radio one sessions and live alongside optimo - for whom they are also releasing a record on their oscarr imprint. ciorsdan was schooled in the scottish highlands immersed in folk music before being dropped in the ugly glasgow metropol of hip hop, techno, electro & club music. with spells living in copenhagen and currently based in semi-rural japan its hard to say where this 22 year old jetsetter picked up her natural sensibility for real pop and future r&b. when shes not teaching children, go see her in a rare live show either back home in glasgow or japan. based in glasgow, uk, 22 year old hudson mohawke currently has the worlds beat scene in a headlock with his heavy drum programming and cosmic synth slop. a teenage uk, dmc and itf champion, hudson has been honing his craft as a part of internationally renowned production duo heralds of change, seminal scottish hip hop group surface emp and as part of the luckyme collective of dynamic, neo-beatmakers. in january this year he made his debut release on warp records with the polyfolk dance ep and has been clocking up serious international mileage with his impressive dj schedule.

show-b is making a triumphal procession through the heaven of arrangements and the musically modernistic housemusic. complex, but fleet footed, his rhythmic structures produce a soulful symbiosis with the music of long gone times of dance music. traditional elements, such as flutes or rhodes unite with sub basses, crisp kick drums and detriotesque bass lines, culminating in show-bs own definition of housemusic. shallowness, ordinarity and a simple sensation of contentment are not part of this definition.

originally released on analytic trail at the end of 2007, c est la vie (and b-side oasi) marked the debut for joseph capriati. since this time capriati has gone on to become one of the hottest names in techno with releases on the scenes labels including drumcode, clr and sci and tec.
to celebrate the success of this favourite son of naples, analytic trail are releasing a staggering set of remixes of two tracks from joseph s debut release on the label from the best names in techno: umek, ramon tapia, xpansul, ortin cam, hauswerks, gaz james and abnormal boyz
the mighty umek gets first crack at c est la vie, turning in a typically straight to the point remake, dropping the distinctive percussive hook over a jackhammer groove. ortin cam (drumcode) adopts a more minimal approach with firing snare rolls and a distorted, buzzing cutup loop of the original hook. rounding out the first part of this package is xpansul (ovum, soma) with a dramatic, stringladen take that bounces along on a tough but funky bassline.
DUB PRAISE (THE REVENGE REMIX)

29.06.09
hot on the heels of phonica records inaugural release comes a new 12inch on the label from jc freaks, with a very special remix from the revenge. jc freaks is the duo of anthea nzekwu and werner niedermeier. like hector, who helmed phonica 001 with ben bryant, anthea is phonica through-and-through, working behind the counter at the london store. an award-winning dj, she produces with werner as jc freaks and has already released two acclaimed 12inchs on mojuba offshoot wandering. dub praise is a sultry, funked-up assault on the dancefloor, incredibly direct and immediate but full of subtle modulations and dub chords. theres a jacking, almost boompty feel to the track, but the blissed-out vocal snippets, rich synth-tones and burbling acid licks give it a timeless, rolling quality beyond that. this is seriously addictive stuff. on the flip theres a remix from the revenge, aka graeme clark. phonica have been huge fans of clarks releases on labels like jiscomusic and instruments of rapture over the years, both solo and as part of 6th borough project. here he reimagines dub praise as a deep disco track which is all spaced-out percussion, breezy keys and low-slung bass but has real character and intensity to it. so it is that the eponymous label run out of londons best electronic music store continues its march on the worlds dancefloors and dj-boxes - with a 12 inch of hypnotic house class that fizzes with ideas and, more than anything, groove

THE DARKEST STAR

with electric rescue, the french dj d jedi, who is known all over paris, becomes a part of the cocoon family. he is connected with the development of techno in france already since the beginning of the nineties. despite being busy as a producer for commercials and soundtracks, he always finds some time to release exciting electronic music on imprints such as f comm, communique, elp media and paul nazcas label scandium, where he has released his debut album >el.ue< three years ago. with the two tracks on >the darkest star<, electric rescue succeeds in the daring feat of transforming the energy of rave tracks from the early nineties into the present time without producing an anachronistic impression. besides a tectonically shaking bass drum, the title track relies on the power of sound, a superlative of raw club energy with a twist of irony, which can set a surprising climax with a steadily rising noise level, even after almost ten minutes. >the devils dance< is grafting a comparably brute state-of-emergency techno in a somehow restrained way, rhythm-wise, but is no less effective with its distinctive acid sound effects. and who said that modern techno cant use the tradition of belgian rave-signal-floor-burners?
raw and pumping booty tracks from the guys of detroit in effect...

so inagawa first release compiled >deep house part 1- mixed by harley & muscle< compilation. japanese underground label >relaxine< will proudly announce deep tech house track >ride ep< that is second release coming from murakami(poker flat/dessous/morris audio)! ryos career started as dj, on the base of influence by the oldschool hiphop, house, techno, and rock. as soon as he was inspired by alternative sounds like analog synthesizer and old rhythm machines, he began to devote to produce electronic music. his sound contains experimental minimal and cutting edge house music. crosstown labelowner damian lazarus has picked him up and supported to releae the lizard as the name of p.a.n on revelone which is sublabel of crosstown in 2006. groove master daniel bell has played the lizard in his mix cd and it has brought him deserved recognition as bona-fide new talent. steve bug, who runs poker flat and house line labe dessous, dropped ryos my soul rise monument to best album best kept secrets on dessous in 2007. he has became the first artist to be played 2 tracks on the fabric mix cd series steve bug mixes fabric 37 and it was great achievement for him. he has been releasing rise on dessous, down the sky on poker flat and lovin ep on morris audio since then.

after successfully bringing back the boogie with the launch of their own imprint, boogie corporation are now back again to prove that they really are slaves to the boogie with this their second release on bc. inspired by strange android dreams and angelic visions of russian air hostesses on electronically powered scooters, aeroflot is equal part space and equal part boogie. meanwhile on the flip, git down is a slab of raw basement boogie, an experiment in time travel and is well heavy on the funk. last up, but by no means a slacker, is dirty rips which pays homage to the machine funk of the early electro sound while giving it a serious contemporary tweak. this track was previously re edited by dj legend greg wilson and released as hardcore boogie on redux, but this is the first time the original version has been released on vinyl. are you a slave to the boogie?

stephan laubner s stl project returns on his something imprint with another great, deep and soulful vinyl release where he illuminates even more corners of his universe. retro stylish melodies between raw and rough house beats with the unstoppable affectation for long evolving grooves. these tracks easily break through the sound barrier and moving supersonically on dancefloors and places beyond. a voyage, which has it s roots in the dark. at a place where spirit comes from. music out of the inner galaxy where emotions and thoughts get born, all captured and channeled through oldschool equipment direct to your speakers. these sounds are part of something. something you can not see, but somehow, you know it s definitely there. get inside, and enjoy the unseen voyage.
in el nino, reduced hats, droning groove, elegant synths, and the hypnotic voices of der himmer über berlin are leonels key elements to a serious and straight masterpiece that perfectly translates his personal vision into sound. lluvia de estrellas takes us on a voyage through cosmic woodlands, clutching on the multitude of shuffled synth-lianas and leafing through its fantastic and grand breaks. lucas mari devellops a two-folds remix with a first part dedicated to a more ambient interpretation, while the second explores fresh and groundbreaking rhythmic patterns adopting some 2 step connotation. follow the shaman!!

over the last year a new generation of young and ambitious house producers from frankfurt to mannheim have caused quite a stir. vera heindel is part of the scene in the rhine main area, which is the new centre for innovative and modern house and techno tracks, and peoples house, her first release on cargo edition at the end of 2008 received huge attention from critics and fans alike. this time around vera dishes up four top-notch house tracks for us which demonstrate her unique way of producing - using reduction and funk, the two constants of her music. jump the hump concentrates on two things: a devastastingly simple bassline and a vocal sample which gives the track a lightness and an understatement which you seldomly find in house tracks. miss fitz, veras project partner in mara trax, heads more to the dancefloor with her remix, but without giving up the special character of veras style. the b-side continues to drive with a high dose of funk. a clear organ chord gives ling both playful and elegant moments and with the vocal sample and the easy-going beats it becomes a typical vera- track. the final track on the ep hallimasch is espescially catchy with its melodic and complex style, triggering positive feelings all around
